She was flexible on things and was easily able to make adjustments to the schedule as the day progressed. | Jimmy from Shanghai Lander was simply terrific. Jimmy was waiting at the ship port right up front, gathered up our luggage immediately, got us settled with water and smiles, and gave us a lovely 4 hour journey to Shanghai with a great driver. This was our second time in Shanghai, but we did not want to waste any of our time waiting in an airport. This tour was perfect. My husband loves photography, so Jimmy took us to places that really kept my husband happy. At the end of a wonderful 4 hours, Jimmy and the great driver took us to the airport, Jimmy again getting all our luggage together, and taking us right to the United counter. What a wonderful way to end this cruise. I would recommend Jimmy very highly. |

| There were three of us and we all truly enjoyed our tour. This was my second trip to this city and one of us lives here for 3 years now. We were very comfortable and happy with our guide Shine. He was very kind and patient with us. One of the places that we requested to see was a local fish market which was very fascinating and unique. Also, while visiting Qibao, Shine was very informative about local foods and snacks, which he encouraged us to try. Also, the driver that was with us an entire day was very nice. | We booked 3 days of tours with Shanghai-Lander and Shine was our guide. We spent one day touring Shanghai and there is no doubt we saw alot more than we would have if we had been on our own. Although Shanghai is a relatively easy city to get around, having a guide made it stress free and interesting to hear from a local. We also had two day trips to Hangzhou and Suzhou which were fabulous. Highly recommend catching the fast train to get to both rather than drive as it is very efficient, clean and comfortable. Our guide Shine was a delight. He was energetic and very entertaining. Nothing was too much trouble and it was great to get to know a local and get further insight into life in Shanghai. |

| Mark took us to see Zhou Zhuang Water Village, which was one of the most memorable experience I will treasure. A beautiful water village as if time has stood still, with bridges, cobbled streets and ally ways and lovely buildings, you could almost think you were in Venice. Mark was not rushed, he kept pace with us comfortably, allowing me to take lots of photos, wander in and out of shops and chatting with my husband (standing outside shops as men do). Those shops my husband did choose to enter into, Mark gave information on various paintings on display, silk etc whilst informative, Mark did not sound like a walking encyclopeida, but like a friend chatting and sharing information. We had traditional bites of food whilst we were there, which was tasy and delicious. |
| We enjoyed our trip to Tongli and Luzhi, and we found the service provided very professional. Fast answer to my e-mails, a detailed plan of the trip given in advance, the car was very comfortable, and our driver was always on time and collaborative, although he did not seem to speak English (but he was not supposed to). |

We experienced so many sides of this city and learnt so much, without knowledge overload. | Having Mark Zhou as a tour guide was like having a close friend with us the whole time in Shanghai. he just made it so much easier for us on our trip, he was very responsive to our needs, helped us with bargaining with the locals, helped us find great places to eat, arranged pick up at airport, was punctual and had a great sense of humor. It really felt like we knew him for a very long time and just made our trip in Shanghai very pleasant. He never rushed us and gladly took pictures of us at all of the historical sites. | We have been living in Shanghai for 6 months and wanted to tour Shanghai and the surrounding area from the perspective of a local Guide. Annie was amazing! We made the tour challenging as we toured over Chinese New Year. Annie had interesting facts; knew the area; was able to call ahead to ensure the attractions were open; and helped us buy a much needed coat for our daughter. | Annie was our tour guide for the morning and she was great and very knowledgeable. We took a cab from our hotel to the start of the tour (cabs are cheap and efficient so we did not mind paying). We did have a lot to see, so we moved through the walk quickly. It would have been good however to linger a little longer in some of the places but I am sure this could have been arranged if we wanted. Everything was confirmed before hand, it was a lovely way to see a lot of Shanghai that I probably would not have seen otherwise. I would recommend this tour, and would consider doing a longer one next time to have the opportunity to spend more time in certain areas. |

| Our guide Shine took all the effort and uncertainty out of these trips and he proved himself very knowledable and reliable. At our request we travelled to Suzhou and Hangzhou by fast train and that was a very enjoyable experience in itself. In both of these cities we were met at the train station by a chauffeur and his car and he transported us around until it was time to take us back to the train station for the return to Shanghai. We had busy days with lots of sightseeing and Shine took us to a local restaurant each day for lunch, usually an economical noodle restaurant. |

| My wife and I are extremely happy to have had Annie Guo as our guide for a full day in Shanghai. Annie was fabulous and the day was wonderful. It was everything we had hoped for and more. Annie’s English is excellent. She met us at our hotel and we embarked on our whirlwind but detailed tour of Shanghai: the Bund with visits to and detailed explanations of the Peace Hotel and the HSBC bank building, an explanation of the influence of the Sassoon family on business and commerce in Shanghai, YuYuan Gardens and the surrounding markets and living areas, the French Concession with its historical structures, Peoples Square and the Museum of Urban Renewal. She also took us to the pet market, fresh food market, East Nanjing Pedestrian Road and the old town bazaar. We found her to be very well-informed, intelligent and open-minded. She answered all of our questions, including those of a social or political nature. |
| We booked a 7 passenger van, driver and interpreter at Shanghai-Lander for a business meeting in Rugao (2.5 hours north of Shanghai). Our interpretor, Shine, was very knowledgeable in local information, but more importantly in local business culture. We were able to get through a few awkward moments in our lunch meeting and factory tour with his help. It also helped that he got along well with the business contact. They did exactly what they were booked for, and they did it well. |

| Annie arrived early to pick up my family of 7 (ages ranging from 13 to 70) from the cruise terminal for a day tour of Shanghai on August 30, 2012. We only had a short amount of time (approximately 6 hours) to see the city. Annie helped us identify the most relevant sights to see including the French quarter, Yu garden, and the Bund. She gave us very interesting details and history of the places we visited. She also took us to a great restaurant for lunch and taught us the correct way to eat steamed dumplings! Shanghai lander knew what we wanted from our trip and they tailored the best tour for me and my wife during our two days in shanghai we feel like we saw the past and the current shanghai. She is a super young lady - very professional , informed , and able to add fun to an interesting day touring around Shanghais old town and a visit to the water town of Tongli . We highly recommend her to everyone . If you plan on a trip out to Tongli be aware that it is quite a drive in some challenging traffic. FROM SLOVENIA: We had little time to organize our visit of Shanghai, so we selected the outfitter by Internet. Jean was chosen, and the Shanghai Lander. We spent two full days with Jean and organization of our stay was just perfect. Excellent English spoken and well educated in history and other social affairs, Jean showed us this magnificent city. We booked two days with Jean to get the most out of our short time in Shanghai. Absolutely no regrets and a strong recommendation for anyone following us. Jean was so reliable, professional, passionate and knowledgable. Day one in the busy city and then day two by contrast in the water village. | I spent one and a half day with Annie Guo in and around Shanghai, focusing mainly on the most interesting part of Shanghai\'s history, the first half of the twentieth century. Included were e.g. visits in the French Concession and to the Jewish ghetto. Annie was very knowledgeable. And of course she could answer my questions about today\'s life in Shanghai. The private car we used was perfect. And particularly I appreciated the fast response by Shanghai-Lander. Conclusion: highly recommended. |

Our tour guide Harris Gu was great! We were a group of four who had one day free to tour Shanghai. We wanted to see as much as we could in one day. It was a whole day tour from 9.30am - 10.30pm. They arranged a private van that could bring us to the places we wanted to go. It was a long day but very informative and fun. We saw so many things. Harris was very knowledgeable about the places he brought us too and provided a background about history etc. I can gladly recommend Shanghai-Lander (Private Tours) and Harris Gu to those who want to have a great experience touring Shanghai. |

We originally planned to spend two days with Annie but decided to do something different the second day otherwise we would have enjoyed her for an additional day. My correspondence with the company was always easy. Jean Liu responded promptly to my questions and I felt secure that our touring would proceed without complication- which it did. | To add a different edge to your holiday, I would highly recommend Shanghai-Lander for those with "novice" and even "pro" knowledge of Shanghai. To break up our 5-day visit, we were taken by Kelly to the picturesque canal town of Tongli. It was a marvelous day out, starting from our 9:30am Hotel pick up to 6pm drop off. Kelly's knowledge and company was very enjoyable, and she felt part of the family by the end of it. Kelly helped lead the way, bargain our souvenir purchases, take family photos, and provided additional recommendations for our final days. We had two trips with Shanghai Lander altogether, both with Annie, and they were definitely the highlight of our stay! The one day walking tour was an excellent introduction to this amazing city, and ensured that we saw & experienced things we would certainly have missed on our own. It was such fun to jump into taxis and onto the metro, and stroll through the backstreets of the Old Town, or the French Quarter, all the while listening to Annie's astonishingly well informed commentaries on anything from Art Deco architecture to the best places to shop. In addition to her inexhaustable knowledge, she spoke excellent English and had a very good sense of humour, all of which ensured that we had a fabulous day. We had no hesitation in booking a second trip later in the week, this time to the 'water town' of Zhujiajiao - an absolutly delightful morning: do try to visit, if you get a chance. |

| It is hard to adequately explain how amazing our experience was. She (Annie) was early to our hotel both days and had a well organized plan based on our previous correspondence, however Annie quickly adapted to any changes we threw at her. Not only did we leave with a comprehensive overview of Shanghai, but her knowledge of the history and culture was almost scary. Historical names, dates and facts rolled off her tongue as if she was reciting them directly from a text book. Annie was extremely easy to understand and her witty personality was also much appreciated. |

She recommended great restaurants (even vegetarian), is good finding transportation (taxi, metro, train), is happy to take your photo, and can take you to one of the best city lookouts in the world. |

| Thank you, we loved our time with Shine. The water town trip was brilliant for its lanscapes and peacefulness and the food we've had at the local restaurant there was the best we've had in China! And Shine, we finally got to him!:) He was the peak of our visit! He is having such an incredible unique way of dealing with everything that we were totally charmed by him! | We stayed in Shaghai recently and had Jean (JingJing) for our guide. Although we were limited on time, she took us on an incredible journey through Shanghai. Our experiences with her were varied, from shopping and bargaining and touring to lunches of dumplings and other local foods. So helpful with the language barrier. We will miss the famous dumplings we had on the first day! We were more than pleased with her services and hope to meet up with her again! We consider her a friend now too!! | Our guide was Aron. He met us at our hotel on time, we took the subway all over, its very clean, safe and easy to understand how to get around. We visited the Bund, a Buddhist Temple, the Shanghai Museum, the pearl market and the old Shanghai area.
