April 5th is the traditional QingMing Festival. It is a national holiday with three-day off, this year April 3rd-5th. People usually visit the passed away families during this time. So it is also known as the tomb sweeping day. The traffic going outside the city from the west is heavily packed during the three days. Millions of people are visiting tombs in suburban Shanghai or neighbouring city like Suzhou. QingMing is also a good time for family outing to feel the spring time.
