Mapo Doufu is a popular dish from the Sichuan spicy cuisine. The main material is doufu (or tofu, bean curd) and minced meat. The dish has a combination of the fresh tender doufu texture and hot spicy red chilli sauce, making it characteristic in Sichuan dishes. It matches well with the plain steamed rice.

Chinese New Year is the time for family get-together and celebration. For Chinese, a celebration cannot be completed without foods.
